Can you picture an oyster
and remain oblivious to
the obvious while waiting
for the swirl of metal tinged
flesh zinc and candlelight
spilling over fresh linen
a thick round handled knife
a white hand on a white throat
a pink tongue on a grey mantle
a gelatinous male then
female heart irritable but
pure as a dimpled pearl worn
in the style of Bernini?
