Umbrella Talk

So Einstein suggested we make things as simple as possible but not simpler
but we didn’t. I wonder if the Lord was dying to tell us to love life
and hate the world but just ran out of time. I wonder if my brother had
had a bit more time he would have sent a letter from the war telling me
something about war and its jungles instead of, I love you. Just riffing here but
what nation doesn’t know that when a hard rain falls it can hurt your head,
thus the invention of Religion and Umbrella. When the dead keep staying
dead you are electric space, besotted with humpback whales and piña coladas.
Are we here only to wait in line to sound the next death note? A real bummer if that’s true, considering all the plans we made.
